- Peacock Ore
Peacock Ore, also known as Chalcopyrite glistens in the sunlight. The colors vary with each mineral specimen. There are pinks, blues, greens and combinations of each creating a visual delight! Chalcopyrite is most often found to contain sparkles of a Gold like substance which is Pyrite. It is known as the Chakra Stone.

I walked into a shop today and just asked in my mind that I be guided to the stone that would help me most,,, so imagin my awe when I checked out peacock ore,, having never heared of it before,,, im truly greatfull that it was ‘picked’ for me as I do need to balance,,, but I find very little info on how to use it,,,, would be greatfull for any advice

Hi Trish! I just started a collection of crystals myself, and JUST picked up the peacock ore today. Very beautiful stone.
All stones of the earth contain the earths energy as we do. That being said, once we hold a stone and become conscious of it, our energies literally connect and the stone begins to manipulate certain negative energy into certain positive energies, this varies upon the stone. Stones work the best when you show it love (I kiss my pocket ones before doing important things). PLUS (this is my favorite thing about stones), stones can charge under sunlight or moonlight but you’re best off with the sunlight because it’s a lot stronger, and true moonlight is hard to obtain with city lights polluting it constantly. The longer it charges under the sun, you’ll notice the stone seems to mildly glow. In some cases, if charged long enough it can even give off a mild aura. 4 hours of sunlight, or an afternoon in the sun and your stones will be filed with energy. The more energy it contains the more it is able to help you with your energy flow. Stones are more then just a shiny jewel, they have their own personality and way with connecting with you. In a way, they are a being of there own, and need to be treated with respect. Leave them in the sun, have them with good intentions of love and the betterment of self, and you will flourish (I certainly have, and continue to do so). Don’t give up :).

I am intensively learning about their individual characteristics.
A lady who owns a shop where I source my crystals is very helpful. However, I was surprised today when she said that all crystals are safe for children. I know that she didn’t say that out of ignorance. Can you recommend a stone that will help me calmly find the right words to tell her what I believe is true?

Perhaps “all crystals being safe for children” is a truth for her. There are many ways to use crystals for many purposes as you are aware …
The stone of communication is Lapis Lazuli. Before you “correct” or “calmly tell her she is wrong” … be sure that it is guidance you are receiving and not coming from the human-self … Ego-chitter chatter.

I have read that peacock ore is not good for u if you have skin Contact with it a lot, like wearing it…..so it said that giving it to children should only be done whole supervised, they should not hold it for too long, like more than 15-30min…..I can’t recall why but it has something to do with the heavy metals in the ore….just wanted to let others know about that.
What you share is interesting … I have not ever heard or read that.
The color is an oxidation on the stone. I know my hands are gross after handling it.

Wow, I misplaced mine, and looked everywhere in the area in which I previously had it. No luck. I meditated and asked it where it was and a vision popped in my head of a pair of shorts I had worn a few days ago. Found the shorts, found the crystal in the front pocket by itself. This stone makes my work days go so smooth, and seems to make everything fall right in place. I have several crystals but the peacock ore is very special!
