Hello,
I have been encouraging you, yes you, to stand in your truth and to embrace and integrate your shadow-self. My Mother often calls and asks me to “help” someone “with that thing you do… you know that thing that you” this not only hurts it wounds, it is disrespectful.
I dishonor myself when I allow these words to affect me. On my morning walking meditation, the thought crossed my mind that perhaps she really doesn’t know what it is that I do. So I took a deep breath, called and asked….Mom do you not know what it is that I do?
Turns out she does know. Her reply was… I know you do healing that is different from what I do. To which I replied…it feels and sounds disrespectful when you say what you say when you call me. I would appreciate it if you would say “healing”. She said “I can do that”. Thank you.
Her next comment was …do you feel better now? …. Yes, thank you.
There were a few other comments to which I simply said “that is all I called about thank you for honoring my request. Bye Mom.”
I feel empowered because I asked and responded with empowerment. I did feel the need to “explain myself” which is old behavior.
This time I didn’t do that :)) Instead of feeling guilt, shame or being embarrassed for speaking my truth, I feel empowered.
If this helps even one person along their path, then I am doing what I came here to do … that is raise the vibration of this planet one person at a time.
