3 Levels of Belief – Part One

Most of us are taught that if we only believe in our dreams or in what we want badly enough then it just has to come true, manifesting into physical form.

Well, unfortunately that’s just the very first step of many. There is writing out using positive, as if it’s already happened, language. Writing out and repeating affirmations till they come out of our ears!

There’s visualizing, imagining and “living as if” what we so dearly want, and at times “crave” somehow manages, in spite of us to magically manifest.

NOW if we could just figure out HOW we did it, then we could replicate it anytime we wanted!

I’m going to share a really huge secret with you! I’ve just recently figured out there is more than one level or layer of belief. Actually there are three!

It’s no secret, or shouldn’t be by now that I have been walking this path for more years than I really want to admit or remember.

There are many, many things we “believe” for instance …

… the sun will rise in the morning in the East

… the moon will rise when the sun sets in the West

… where there is light there is also darkness

… up is the opposite of down

… for every right there is a left

… there is kindness and cruelty in the world

There are three levels of belief and they are:

#1 – Surface or Mental Belief

#2 – Centered or Heart-Felt Belief

#3 – Core or Divinely-Inspired Belief

Some of our beliefs aren’t even really ours. They are beliefs that have been handed down through generations and generations until those beliefs now rest securely within our cells, the very core of our being, in every single strand of DNA.

The “trick” is to discern which of these beliefs are truly ours and which ones don’t and never did really belong to us!

Okay, before we go any further I’m going to be very blunt … this is not a witch hunt to lay blame at someone else’s feet or a way to shake off responsibility for where we are or aren’t.

We must absolutely accept responsibility for the circumstances, experiences and situations, to include the quality of our relationships both personal and professional.

This is about owning what is truly ours, discerning what isn’t and then having the courage, determination and a “no matter what” attitude to finally, once and for all, lay down every single belief that isn’t ours and all those beliefs that are ours BUT no longer resonate within our heart-center.

Speaking from personal experience, I used to be frustrated beyond belief because I wasn’t able to figure out what was truly holding me back. I mean, seriously!

I’d been doing the work for such a long time and still there was this little — and sometimes extremely LOUD — Ego-Chitter chatter that kept throwing mental and emotional roadblocks in my path nearly every time I turned round!

My friends would encourage me by saying things like — Terrie Marie I really believe you have a purpose, you have a very special gift of talking to Angels — or —- why are you struggling so much just ask your Angels to help you.

Sometimes I just wanted to scream “I AM asking my Angels I DO believe BUT … it’s just not happening for me the way I know, deep down inside that it can, it just doesn’t have to be this hard it just doesn’t! I’m teaching my clients how to do this and they are having amazing results so why isn’t it happening for me too!”

Then one morning, when I woke, there was a sense of peace deep within and I just simply knew, I truly believed … it is a Core Belief that is Divinely-Inspired. There are no other words that can adequately express this deep-seated sense of purely Divine Belief.

This sense of Divinely-Inspired Belief is heavily laced with trust, faith and complete surrender.

Surrender is not to be mistaken for giving up or giving in. Many years ago I started imagining I was floating in a beautifully, calm sea in total bliss. The affirmation that accompanied this visualization went something like this — I float in a sea of complete surrender — even as I share this with you now this brings a sense of peacefulness. I dearly love the sea and its many treasures.

This is the first in a series of articles which will take you on an inner-journey, if you are willing to be willing to entertain the idea or concept that there is more to belief that we’ve been taught.

We haven’t really been taught because, in my way of understanding things, this idea or concept of there being more than one level or layer of belief hasn’t really been explored in the way it’s being given to me to share with you.

In Part-Two, we’ll start pealing back the layers of all Three Levels of Belief, beginning with the first Level of Belief which is Surface or Mental Belief.

Are you open to receive?

There is an interesting, almost peculiar way that the Law of Attraction works and it’s something so subtle that it took me years to figure out!

Of course the first step is to ask … there are several more, very important steps but the intention for today is to share with you something that is even more important than asking for what you want and that is …

…. Are you open to receiving what you’ve asked for? Now, before you say “YES!” think about it for a few moments and really ask yourself if you are “open to receive.”

Of course we all believe — I certainly did — that all we have to do is “ask” and then “wait” for whatever we’ve asked for to simply show up, that’s not exactly how it works.

Let me explain … there are negative thought patterns, beliefs and emotions that prevent us from being open to receiving what we want.

Look around at your life and where you are right now … if you aren’t where you want or thought you’d be “by now” then something is stopping you, blocking you from being open to receive what you’ve asked for.

Here are a few examples of what might possibly be holding you back from being open to receive …

*working 60 + hours or more every week and you want more clients or customers

*telling the same worn out negative “Money Story” to yourself or anyone who’ll listen

*seeing only what isn’t manifesting in your life

*complaining that “it’s” not manifesting fast enough or big enough

Any one of these statements might be the reason blocking you from receiving.

When you are really open to receiving what you’ve asked for, then you are able to step aside and out of the way, allowing the Law of Attraction to simply work its miracles!

Being open to receive is all about …

… Doing things differently

… Doing different things

… Seeing past the surface of appearance

… And so much more!

The false power of using affirmations …

If you’re anything like me, then you probably attempted to use affirmations by now for all kinds of situations from changing your thoughts or shifting emotions, to transforming all kinds of different types of situations.

The sad part about using affirmations is that there is a false power or belief that affirmations alone will literally change everything.

Actually, the truth is affirmations might literally change and transform anything!
